Brown grad transfer Nana Owusu-Anane has committed to SMU
The 6’8” forward missed the entire season due to injury.
During the 2023-24 season Owusu-Anane averaged 14.7 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 2.1 APG, 1.0 BPG, 1.3 SPG, and was named to All-Ivy League Second Team.

SMU junior Yohan Traore has entered the transfer portal.
The 6’11” forward appeared in 32 games, averaging 6.1 points, and 3.2 rebounds per game. Traore previously played at UCSB where he averaged 14.5 points, and 5.1 rebounds per game during the 2023-24 season. Also played at Auburn.

Jacksonville State transfer and CUSA Player of The Year Jaron Pierre Jr. has committed to SMU.
The 6’5” senior guard started all 36 games played, averaging 21.6 points (#4 in the country), 5.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. SMU lands one of the best scorers in the country, who can score at all three levels. Pierre shot 38% from 3 (104/272) and can hit shots both off the catch, and the dribble.
