Ма мэны! :bleat:University of Florida sophomore Jacob Kurtz (Oviedo, Fla.) and juniors Will Yeguete (Bordeaux, France) and Patric Young (Jacksonville, Fla.) have been named to the 2012-13 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, the Southeastern Conference announced today. Florida has had 62 selections to the Academic Honor Roll since its inception in 1997, the most among any SEC institution.
Kurtz, a mechanical engineering major, played in 20 games during the 2012-13 season. He averaged 0.5 points per game and 0.3 rebounds per contest. The sophomore tallied a career-best five points in the SEC opener against Georgia.
Yeguete, an international studies major, saw action in 31 games this past year. He averaged 5.5 points per game, a career-best. Yeguete had two double-doubles on the season and was one of the team’s top defenders. This marks his second appearance on the Academic Honor Roll.
Young, a telecommunications major, played in every game for the Orange and Blue last year. He swatted 57 shots, eighth in school history, and recorded six double-doubles on the season. Earlier this year, Young was named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year. In addition, he was named to the Academic Honor Roll in 2012, as well.
