Хронология с реддита:

 

2008: Penny Hardaway donates $1 million to the University of Memphis, which is used to construct the Penny Hardaway Hall of Fame. Because of this, Penny Hardaway is considered a booster to the university by the NCAA in perpetuity.

 

Sometime in the summer of 2017: Penny Hardaway is alleged to have given Wiseman's family $11,500 in moving expenses facilitating a move from Nashville to Memphis.

 

August 2017: James Wiseman announces a move from Nashville Ensworth to Memphis East prior to the 2017-18 season.

 

November 2017: Wiseman is rulled ineligible by the TSSAA for the 2017-18 season because of the "prior link" rule, as he played for Team Penny in the Nike EYBL during the summer of 2017 before transferring. Shelby County courts though grant East a temporary injunction, saying that Wiseman and UAB signee Ryan Boyce would suffer "irreparable harm" if not allowed to play, as well as citing the fact that there was no way to tell whether the TSSAA had ruled fairly.

 

December 2017: A judge extends the injunction, allowing Wiseman and Boyce to continue playing. As far as I can tell, there were no other hearings that season, and Wiseman and Boyce were allowed to continue playing.

 

March 20, 2018: Days after winning a class AAA state title at Memphis East with Wiseman playing, Penny is announced as the new head coach of Memphis.

 

November 2018: James Wiseman signs with Memphis.

 

May 2019: Memphis says that it notified the NCAA of the $11,500 provided to Wiseman's family by Hardaway and declared him eligible. Wiseman's attorneys say the same, and that between January and May of that year, "the NCAA and the University of Memphis conducted a joint review of Wiseman's eligibility and he received certification 'on or about May 29.'"

 

October 31, 2019: The NCAA sends a letter contradicting what Memphis was apparently told, saying that recruiting violations happened around the summer of 2017.

 

November 8, 2019: Wiseman is declared ineligible for play for the rest of the season. Since Hardaway is a booster to the university, the $11,500 is considered a booster payment. However, just prior to tip-off against Illinois-Chicago, Shelby County grants an emergency injunction that allows Wiseman to play that night. That evening, the NCAA issues a cryptic statement saying that Memphis "was notified that James Wiseman is likely ineligible. The university chose to play him and ultimately is responsible for ensuring its student-athletes are eligible to play."

 

November 18, 2019: A hearing has been scheduled at this time that would grant Wiseman a temporary injunction that would allow him to continue playing until a permanent ruling is had.

Или ты просто любишь этот вид спорта, а команда - самая сильная в городе в этом виде спорта, как например Мемфис Тайгерс по ам.футу

редкий случай когда я согласен с Вайтелом во время трансляции флоридского дерби: НСАА имеет очень много тупых правил, но родители знали, что взяв деньги от Хардавея могут навредить его студенческой карьере, и тем не менее сделали это. так что кто тут виноват
